Been there, asked that
We get a lot of questions from a lot of people. Here are some of them. They may have all come from the same conversation, but we can’t remember for sure.
We do tend to get a lot of similar questions, though, so we thought we’d save you some time and get right to them!
Want to know how long a website will take? What your pricing options are for a nonprofit organization? What happens if you don’t like our work? You’re in the right place!
Have questions about digital marketing instead of our services?
Search our entire site, including blog articles! We've been blogging since 2008, so there's a lot in there.
Yes! We actually started out as a web design company, although our services eventually expanded to include additional services. Feel free to read more on our How We Help page.
Although in very rare cases, we’ve rushed websites for clients who were willing to pay extra for that, a week is pretty unusual for us. There’s a lot of work that goes into it on our end and on your end, as well as plenty of communication. That usually can’t be done in a week. Our quickest website usually takes 2-6 weeks, and higher-end websites can take longer. You can read more details on the timeframes for our website on our Websites page.
The short answer? It depends. While we frequently help nonprofits set up online donation pages and help service-based businesses set up online invoice payments, anything like a site with hundreds of products for sale is not a good fit for us.
If you would really love to work with us but aren’t sure if your e-commerce requirements would be a good fit, feel free to contact us to find out.
We do offer a Website Gap Analysis that includes an objective analysis of your website. But we’ve seen thousands of websites. Chances are pretty good it’s not the worst we’ve seen. But the real question is, what do YOU think of your current website?
We don’t make any guarantees on first-page results or anything like that. But we do offer some services to help with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Local SEO. That includes both one-time services as well as ongoing services.
But if you’re looking for any absolute guarantees on placement, you’ll have to look somewhere else.
Then our hosting would be a horrible option for you. Ours is definitely not the cheapest. We refer to our hosting as managed hosting. In our case, that involves a couple of things. First, it means some extra security options for WordPress. Second, it means that we’ll help you on an ongoing basis by adding, editing, or deleting your website’s pages, text, and images. So it’s far more than you’ll get with most cheap hosting.
Not if you want to spend absolutely no time on it.
For most of our clients, our process includes a monthly meeting, either in person or over the phone. And each month, we also send you all your online content for review.
While there are some variations on that process, if you want to spend absolutely zero time on it, we’re probably not a good fit.
Most of our clients meet with us monthly for around an hour, either in person or over the phone. Then, they spend however long they deem necessary reviewing the content we send them each month.
Yes!
While we do send it to you for review, we will post your social media content on sites like Facebook, Twitter (X if you prefer), and LinkedIn, as well as publish your blog on your website, send out your email newsletter for you, and publish your online videos.
However, we work two months ahead of time. So when we interview you one month, we talk about the content for two months later. Then we use tools like WordPress, Hootsuite, and MailChimp to pre-schedule your content.
Feel free!
Most of our clients either don’t have the time, don’t like what they write, find it painful to write their own online content, or want to utilize our expertise and experience. But we’re not using any magical tools to do the work, so you can definitely do it on your own if you’d like.
You can schedule an in-person training session or a screen-sharing training session. But we do charge for our training services.
If you’re looking for free training, feel free to check out our YouTube channel, where we have tons of free videos, or browse our Education section.
We’re usually not the cheapest option out there. We have options anywhere from $100 up to over $5,000. Most of our ongoing clients we create content for invest $500 – $1,500 with us every month.
We do have some special deals and services for nonprofits, but not everything has a discount available. Often, nonprofits find that our normal prices work quite well for them.
That’s not a question, but thanks! We have a review page that you can use to share reviews of us in various places online.
