Deleting your Instagram post
The process is the same whether you’re using the app on your phone or logged into instagram.com on. your computer.
To delete an Instagram post, follow these directions:
- Find your post you want to delete.
- Tap on the three dots in the upper right corner.
- Select “Delete.”
- Confirm that you want to delete the post.

Of course, if you change your mind after deleting a post, you can undelete it for 30 days after deletion by going to your activity and tapping on the “Recently Deleted” option. From there, you can choose to show the post again. Alternatively, you can also choose to archive posts, which will store them in a folder only you can view.
