12 super fun facts about Tim

Hi there! If you don’t know me (why don’t you?), I’m Tim Priebe, the owner of T&S Online Marketing. But that particular fact isn’t that fun, so it doesn’t count. If you want to know me better, today’s your lucky day!

Will the facts I share actually be fun? Or even super fun? You be the judge!

Fact 1: I once cut myself while shaving and singing supercalifragilisticexpialidocious at the top of my lungs to impress my youngest child. He was four at the time. I was 39.

Fact 2: Leann and I love to visit caves on vacation. I don’t know why. It’s tough to take selfies in a cave, though.

Fact 3: I was born three months premature. My wife claims it’s because I was bored. I can’t remember if that’s the reason or not. If I had been born on time, I would have started school a year later, my wife would have graduated college by the time I was a freshman, and we likely would have never met.

Fact 4: My parents bought me tons of toys I wanted when I was a child. For some reason, however, they would buy me Transformers. Instead, I got GoBots.

Fact 5: As a teenager, I would often sneak out my second-story window, scale down the chimney, drive to meet my friends, go toilet-paper the houses of other friends, then sneak back into my house.

Fact 6: I have written fan fiction short stories: several Star Trek, one with Superman, and this gem of a Back to the Future story that’s still online. 

Fact 7: I was once slapped by actor Robert Picardo, perhaps known best for his role as the doctor on Star Trek: Voyager. It was for a photo a friend of mine took. This was before the age of digital photography, and my friend cropped Picardo out of the picture.

Fact 8: I’ve written five books about digital marketing, three of which are still relevant.

Fact 9: In high school, I borrowed a friend’s camcorder to record a little film I also starred in titled Tim’s Life. That was my Christmas present to family members that year.

Fact 10: In middle school and high school, I self-published a Star Trek magazine that included articles by authors around the country that I coordinated. That would later lead to me being allowed in senior-level journalism classes without taking the prerequisites, and eventually to the forming of Edmond Business.

Fact 11: One year, I made a huge Christmas list, and my parents decided the one item on the list they would get me was a four-drawer filing cabinet. My sister got a dog. The joke’s on her because the filing cabinet lasted around 15 years longer than the dog.

Fact 12: I’m a big movie fan, but I’m a horrible person to ask if a movie was any good because I like all movies. I’ve only ever watched three movies I didn’t enjoy: Lawnmower Man 2, Sunset Boulevard, and a third that was so bad I apparently purged it from my memory.
