It’s been over a decade since we started putting a concerted effort into working with nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits hold a special place in our hearts! And while we love every nonprofit we work with, I’ve picked five whose mission is significant to me personally.

Without any further ado, here are five nonprofit clients we love working with.

Family Builders

First up is an organization that Tim served on the board of for several years, Family Builders. Their mission is to stop the cycle of abuse in Oklahoma through parenting programs, community education, their Batterer’s Intervention Program, and their Co-Parenting & Divorce classes.

Personally, I like how Family Builders approaches the situation. They’re working to fix the cause, not just put a Band-Aid on the problem.

Victims Impact Panel of Oklahoma

VIP is a nonprofit that combats impaired driving, primarily drunk driving and driving under the influence of drugs. They put on panels across the state that help educate people on the true impact their actions can have, generally by someone sharing their story about how impaired driving impacted them.

One reason VIP appeals to me is that they don’t pass judgment on people for drinking. Instead, they educate them on the impact their actions can have, using real stories and appealing to both logic and emotion.

Circle of Care

The mission of Circle of Care is to provide Christian help, healing, and hope to children and families in crisis. They do this in Oklahoma through counseling services, foster care, a transitional living program, and a program to help prepare for adult living.

I like that Circle of Care is all about putting foster families together in a loving environment from a Christian perspective without discrimination.

Beautiful Dream Society

BDS is a humanitarian Christian-based organization leading the fight against human trafficking in Lesotho, a country surrounded on all sides by South Africa. They do that through prevention, protection, and rehabilitation programs.

I can’t even imagine what the women sold into human trafficking go through. I like that BDS is fighting to end that experience overall while also empowering individual women and helping them understand their self-worth.

U R Special

Closer to home, U R Special is an organization that helps at-risk children in Edmond, Oklahoma, foster self-esteem and a healthy lifestyle. They do that primarily by providing new, one-of-a-kind outfits and clothing at celebratory, interactive, affirming clothing distributions throughout the year.

U R Special is the nonprofit we’ve been involved with the longest. I like that the focus is on improving the self-esteem of impressionable young children regardless of financial circumstances.

We’ve worked with many other nonprofits throughout the years. We are thankful for the mission and work all of them engage in. These are only five of many organizations doing great work to improve the world around them.

If you work with a nonprofit and would like to talk with us about either your volunteer opportunities or digital marketing, we would be happy to talk!
