We’re big fans of Mailchimp. It’s our platform of choice for email newsletters and plenty of other email marketing as well. We also recommend it to our clients largely because it’s so easy to use.
But what do you do when you have a problem? How do you contact Mailchimp for help?
Contacting Mailchimp directly
Mailchimp offers several different plans and even different pricing options within that plan depending on how many contacts you have and how many emails you want to send each month.
Each plan has different options for contacting Mailchimp for help as well.
- Free – While this plan does come with access to the Mailchimp knowledge base, marketing glossary, and marketing tips, it does not have any ongoing one-on-one support. You do get 30 days of email support, but after that, you’re on your own.
- Essentials – Starting at $9.99 per month as of this writing, this plan comes with 24/7 email and chat support.
- Standard – Starting at $14.99 per month as of this writing, this plan also comes with 24/7 email and chat support.
- Premium – Starting at $299 per month, this plan comes with both 24/7 email and chat support as well as phone support. Not surprising with an investment that big.
Mailchimp does have a presence on Twitter as well, and every once in a blue moon, you may be able to get some help there. Their main account is @Mailchimp, and you can also find out the status of their servers through @MailchimpStatus.
Finding a Mailchimp expert to help
So if you’re not paying Mailchimp $299 a month but want some one-on-one help over the phone or even—gasp—in person or through Zoom, what can you do?
Enter the Mailchimp Experts Directory. Using this online resource, you can find an individual or agency that can help you with your Mailchimp issues. You can filter by location, specialty, and even language to find the best match for you.
And yes, we are Mailchimp experts. Since you’re already reading this, feel free to reach out to us and see if we can help.
I have an account with MailChimp and it will not allow me to create a campaign. Every time I try and edit the email, I get a message that says “an error has occurred” and says “looks like there is a problem of loading the page. ”
Please fix – this is unacceptable.
Hi Teresa! That sounds frustrating. If I were in your shoes, I would reach out to Mailchimp support.
