Three things we need before designing your website

At T&S Online Marketing, we love designing websites. In fact, you could say it’s our speciality considering that when our agency started back in 2003, it was known as T&S Web Design.

T&S has certainly expanded its offerings over the years to areas like content creation, SEO, online video, and more. But creating attractive, functional websites is still one of our favorite things to do.

Creating a website is an exciting process, but it can be overwhelming! Fortunately, we’re here to help! Aside from the boring (but necessary) paperwork Tim will help you with, here are three things our team walks all our clients through during the website planning process.

1. Your expectations and needs

If you’re considering a new website, you may already have an idea of what you want as far as features and functionality, as well as what goals you expect your site to help you achieve. But even if you don’t, our website process includes an in-person planning meeting where we help you clearly define all the need-to-know items, including your overarching marketing goals and your vision for the new website.

We do this so our team has all of the necessary information regarding your expectations and needs from the start so we can meet and exceed them!

2. Your logo

In most cases, your entire brand identity begins with your logo. Naturally, your website needs to match the look and feel. The logo will be the cornerstone of your new website’s layout, so we really need to wait for a high-quality version of it. If you don’t have a logo yet or want to update your existing one, the T&S team would be more than happy to help out with that as an additional service. 3. Your content

Finally, we need the information you already know you want featured on your website. From website page text and pertinent contact information to photos and videos, your content is the meat of your website.

While it’s true we don’t need all of your content to begin designing your site, if we don’t have something early in the process, the first version of your site will have a lot of filler text and stock photos. Because our different packages vary on the number of revisions they include, it’s a good idea to get the real content to us as quickly as possible.

Of course, for an additional investment we can help with the text (aka copywriting), new headshots for your team, photos of your facility, or even online videos. Many of our clients want us to take care of all that for them, as it’s one less thing for them to worry about.

In today’s world, a visually appealing and mobile-friendly website is critical to reaching your marketing goals. Your website is an opportunity to provide important information to your audience at the click of a button or swipe of a finger.
