If you haven’t heard the news, the social media scheduling tool Hootsuite finally rolled out a long-awaited partnership with none other than Pinterest. Hootsuite account-holders can now pin and schedule to Pinterest, and Hootsuite Impact users will be able to access important metrics and analytics on social reach.
Pinterest joins Hootsuite’s list of preferred partners that includes Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, WordPress, Instagram, and YouTube. Considering that Pinterest boasts 200 million monthly active users with 40 percent annual growth, it’s a wonder the integration didn’t come sooner. But now that it has happened, social media managers and businesses owners alike can rejoice in the ease of scheduling from your existing Hootsuite dashboard, at the same time you schedule all of your other content and without having to use a totally separate tool.
In a statement released by Hootsuite, execs brought attention to the fact that they want to showcase the growing importance of using images to engage online. Images in social content are critical, and Pinterest has been running a different kind of game than even Instagram. In fact, Pinterest has shown that it can be a strong e-commerce sales driver for both consumer and lifestyle brands.
The interface is slightly different from scheduling other networks, but is still pretty intuitive. Users will upload their image, followed by the URL and any caption they would like before previewing it and scheduling it to send. You can view, edit, delete any of your scheduled pins at any time from the scheduled page. One feature Hootsuite users are sure to love is that you can create new Pinterest board directly from the scheduling dashboard, both public or private.
Hootsuite is officially a one-stop-shop for social marketers who seek to schedule their content in advance, analyze metrics in an organized space and view content happening across networks. If you’re excited about finally being able to use Hootsuite to schedule your pins, let us know in the comments!
