Our New Stomping Ground

April brought on a whole new whirlwind of changes for us at T&S as we decided to move office spaces. We spent several weeks scouting the Edmond and north Oklahoma City areas for the perfect office space. We didn’t find a place with an indoor swimming pool or a home theater system fully-equipped with every nerd movie and gaming system available, but when you’re looking for a new place, you have to be willing to make some compromises.

At first glance, our new home wasn’t much to look at. What had once stood vacant for over 6 years definitely needed to be hosed down with hot, soapy water and soaked in bleach, and was in dire need of a bug zapper. But T&S is always up for a challenge. We began our journey of disinfestation in the very height of crane fly season, which doesn’t go over too well when you’ve got arachnophobia; Crane flies look far too similar to spiders for my liking, plus they can fly. Fortunately, Tim’s kids love to squash bugs. I’m not ashamed to admit that I put them to work.

Once the bug problem was tackled, it was time to work on the aesthetics of the place. I’m pretty sure I’m still finding paint that hasn’t washed off after that debacle. But in the end, all of the painting was worthwhile. We transformed a frightening 70’s house into a pretty awesome studio. Check out some more before-and-afters below, and let us know what you think!

I know, I know, why aren’t we on Flip That House on TLC? Well, the answer to that is simple. Our passion lies in online marketing, duh!

Place looks good. It will definitely add to the creative process, not that you needed it. Enjoy the space!
