Westside Church of Christ

Discover how we helped Westside Church of Christ refresh their website for better communication.

Client overview

Client since 2024

Westside Church of Christ in Norman, Oklahoma, has long been committed to faith, family, and discipleship. As the congregation grew and evolved, their communication tools and website structure needed to better support both members and visitors.

The challenge

Westside was operating with messaging that felt broad and somewhat dated. While their heart for discipleship and community was strong, it wasn’t clearly reflected online.

They also faced practical communication challenges. Internal communication between leadership and the congregation needed improvement. Community events like VBS and Trunk or Treat generated interest but lacked structured follow-up. Their website platform provided backend tools, but the overall experience didn’t clearly guide visitors toward meaningful next steps.

The church needed clarity, structure, and alignment.

How we've helped

Backslash Creative developed a strategic marketing plan to clarify mission and strengthen communication. We then executed a refreshed brand and website built around clear next steps, improved navigation, and stronger engagement tools. The updated site supports visitors, members, and community guests while serving as a central hub for discipleship and ongoing involvement.

Chris Porter modern

Backslash Creative has been a fantastic partner for Westside. They helped us clarify our strategy first, then translated that into a website that’s taken us out of the dark ages and positioned us to reach our community more effectively. The guidance has been practical and confidence-building, not overwhelming.

The new website already looks excellent and is a major upgrade from what we had. They’ve also given us a much-needed marketing appraisal, opening our eyes to how we fit in the community and what we can do going forward to be more visible and attractive to the city around us. Their team has been organized and responsive as we work through feedback and refinements, and we’re excited to keep building momentum together with the website and ongoing marketing support.
