Client overview
Client since 2021
Michele Lesher is a Broker Associate with Express Realty, Inc in Edmond, Oklahoma. She has been a licensed real estate professional since 1999 and works the Oklahoma City metro, from Edmond and Oklahoma City out to Yukon, Moore, and Mustang. Most of her business comes from referrals, open houses, and past clients who call her again for the next house.
The challenge
Backslash Creative had managed Michele's homesinokc.com domain since 2021, but the website itself ran on HomeSnap, a real estate platform that has since become part of Homes.com. After that change, Michele could edit the wording on her pages and not much else. She couldn't even add the video from a professional photo shoot she'd just done.
She was also paying for listing ads through the platform, and for her, they weren't producing real leads. Mostly clicks and curiosity.
There was a technical problem working against her, too. The code on her site told Google that the official version of each page lived on homesnap.com, not on her own domain. That made it harder for her own domain to get credit in Google.
She emailed us asking what it would take to have a website she actually controlled.
How we've helped
Michele was one of the first clients in our AI-assisted website development program, which makes a fully custom website affordable for an owner-operated business like hers. AI tooling handled much of the design, build, and copy under our direction, and our team handled the strategy, review, and quality control. We told her up front how it would be produced, and she reviewed every page before launch.
Before anything was canceled, we pulled her content off the HomeSnap site, including 10 Google reviews from her clients, word for word. Then we built the new site around how Michele actually works. Calling and texting her directly is the main path on every page. The About and FAQ pages answer the questions she hears most, in her words. The towns and ZIP codes she serves are spelled out, and her office address matches her Google listing exactly. The site is built to load fast and to be easy for search engines and AI tools to read.
Rather than trying to recreate a listing feed, her listings link out to her Realtor.com agent page. And since our team makes her content changes, keeping the site current is as simple as sending us an email. Two days after Michele saw the first draft, her new site was live on homesinokc.com.
