Threads may still feel like the younger, less chaotic, neglected cousin of Twitter (sorry, X), but it’s growing—and brands are starting to take it more seriously. The catch? Until recently, scheduling posts on Threads wasn’t even possible unless you worked some serious workaround magic.
Now that Meta has opened the door a bit wider, a few tools have stepped in to help. If you want to plan your Threads content ahead of time—or just avoid posting on the weekend while you’re knee-deep in laundry—here are the platforms that can help.
Threads native – Surprisingly functional, mildly thrilling
Yes, Threads finally lets you schedule posts natively. No hacks. No extra tools. Just you, your clever post, and a little clock icon that actually works. You can queue things up to 75 days out—which is either incredibly efficient or a sign you need a hobby. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and does the job. And if you’re already juggling Instagram and Threads chaos, this is one less tab to keep open.
Buffer – Clean interface, limited bells and whistles
Buffer added Threads support in 2024 and keeps things pretty simple. If you’re already using it for LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram, adding Threads is just a checkbox away. The analytics aren’t deep, but the scheduling works—and the UI won’t make you want to set your laptop on fire.
Hootsuite – Full-featured and a little overkill
The grandfather of social media scheduling tools, Hootsuite now supports Threads scheduling for users on paid plans. If you love dashboards, team permissions, and a million features you may or may not use, this might be your jam. It’s powerful—but for small teams, it can feel like driving a semi to deliver a sandwich.
Sprout Social – Enterprise-ready with the price tag to match
Sprout Social also supports Threads, mainly targeting agencies and large teams. It includes post scheduling, approval workflows, and reporting. If you’re already using Sprout for other platforms, great. If not, this probably isn’t your budget-friendly intro to Threads.
SocialPilot – Affordable and Threads-friendly
SocialPilot quietly added Threads support in 2024, and we’ve been happy about it—this is the tool we use for a lot of our clients who don’t already have HubSpot. It’s built for small businesses and agencies that need scheduling, approvals, and analytics without a massive learning curve (or price tag). If you’re managing multiple accounts and want an affordable, central place to schedule Threads, it’s worth a look.
One last note
Threads is still evolving, and some features (like tagging or replying in scheduled posts) may be limited depending on the tool you use. Always double-check that your scheduled content looks and behaves how you expect.
